Getting There
Great start to the day, Uber (£28) turned up early and I was checked in and outside with coffee within 30 minutes.
Plane took off on time and I luckily had 3 seats all to myself. Sat in the window seat for the whole journey. Definitely worth paying for the extra legroom seat.
Never been able to take pictures of bournemouth from the sir before and it was great
Flight arrived on time but then the fun started. The queue to passport control was horrendous 😭😭😭😭. Multiple planes arrived at similar times and we all had to merge. Don't know if it was the new rules or not but seemed totally disorganised and chaotic. Took an hour and a half to get to passport control and boy did it regret not booking special assistance! But I did it 👏.
TUI airport support pathetic, terrible directions to bus but I got there eventually. Because I was at the front of the plane I knew I was one of the first to get to the bus and probably waited about an hour before the bus left.
Finally got to the hotel about 5pm. Nice room but I've had better, walk in shower 😄. Balcony door wouldn't lock so reported that to reception, it was fixed within the hour. Requested an ashtray and that came after about 2 hours so can't fault the staff. Requested the bed be made up as one rather than two pushed together and am waiting for that to happen. Did say tomorrow would be fine but receptionist suggested it could be done tonight. It hasn't been.
Still a bit wet outside but nice view of sunset so room orientation good.
Dinner in restaurant ok, had to book time for Christmas Day and out problem getting 6.30 slot. Also looked the 2 speciality restaurants for 23/24. Was able to get a bottle of wine in restaurant and took it back to my room afterwards.
Bed at 10pm
